Looking for New Members
It’s true – joining a choir is good for the soul. And we are on the lookout for male singers who can bring their unique sound and fresh energies to the choir. If you are looking for a new challenge, are a passionate singer, and think you have what it takes, we'd love to hear from you.
The Erimus Singers, presently 16 strong, are looking to consolidate the excellent progress and audience following we have established in our first years together by inviting interested, talented singers to join us in our aim to bring new, high quality music making to the area. Our recent repertoire consists of e.g. Parry’s Songs of Farewell, Handel’s Coronation Anthems, Bach Cantatas and Motets, works by Britten, Stanford, Holst, Fauré and those by contemporary composers such as Dove, Hagenberg, MacMillan, Chilcott, Todd etc.
An audience member at one of our recent performances afterwards announced that “Teesside now has its own BBC Singers”.
We choose challenging but highly satisfying pieces that demand commitment and dedication to autonomous learning so you will necessarily require previous choral experience and good sight reading skills.
