THE STORY OF ERIMUS

Erimus Singers are a 16-piece chamber choir made up of singers from the Tees Valley area. The choir was set up in 2018 by John Dixon and Rebecca Johnson, who both have a passion for choral music and have a history of involvement and leadership of several choirs and vocal groups in the area. You can read more about John and Rebecca below.

Erimus Singers are a group that is not afraid to tackle challenging music, and to present pieces that may not be standard on the usual choral concert programme list, as well as performing the more well-known choral pieces that we all know and love!

We are very lucky to be able to rehearse and have our home at Middlesbrough Town Hall, where most of our concerts are held. In fact, the name for the group comes from the Middlesbrough Council emblem 'Erimus' meaning 'We Shall Be'.

You can also find us performing in other venues across the Tees Valley. Check out the Home Page for our upcoming concerts.

The easiest way to stay updated with our upcoming performances is to sign up to our email list, and through this you will receive 'early bird' ticket offers for our concerts.
